CHC43015 What did the student do to facilitate the realisation of your client`s right, needs and interests?

Instruction:

During your observations, you are to observe the student: work in collaboration with 1 client to identify their interests, needs and rights, then advocate on behalf of this client to achieve a specific outcome. The student is required to support 1 client throughout an organisational or legal complaints process.

Whilst the student is working with the student`s client, the student will need to keep a journal outlining the following details:

  1. What did the student do to facilitate the realisation of your client`s right, needs and interests?
  2. What did the student do to advocate for this client (discuss this in detail)?
  3. How did these actions help the client?
  4. What ongoing support did the student provide to the client?
  5. What did the student do to assist the client when making a complaint?
  6. What actions did the student take when reviewing the clients/complaints progress?

Not all areas must be assessed at the same time, however throughout the workplace assessment; each are: must be assessed on multiple occasions. In the event of any of the below checklist items not being applicable to clinical observation location, addition support is to be organised to observe these areas. This must be documented and attached to this checklist Any checklist items relating to student understanding may require supervisor to ask appropriate questions during the observation period to confirm an understanding of these areas to a level expected for the studen role and experience.
