Group Project (Report Writing)

The group project assignment is a COMPULSORY part of the course and will contribute 20% of the final course score. Therefore, each student within the group must work actively and contribute to the project work and report writing. Students who are uncooperative with the other group members when preparing the project will be penalised. Students are to form groups with 6-8 members each.

Assignment Topic :

Think of a type of an organization that you would like to develop one day.  Based on that, write a report on the following topic.

  1. Background of ‘your’ company.
  2. Mission, vision, and objectives of ‘your’ company.
  3. Organisation chart of ‘your’ company.
  4. The management function (POLC) of ‘your’ company.
    ● Planning (Planning, goals, three types of planning for three levels of management, strategic positioning, assessing the current reality)
    ● Organizing (Level of organisation culture, types of organizational culture)
    ● Leading (Process perspectives on employee motivation, behavioural approaches, transactional or transformational leadership)
    ● Control (Types of control)
  1. Conclusion.
  2. References (APA format)
  3. Appendices (Other related information to supply with, if any)

Format for a report written assignment:

  • Table of Content
  • Times New Roman
  • Font size 12 & Page Number
  • Double spacing & Justify
  • 15 – 20 pages (excluding title page, table of content, references, and appendices)
  • Group project report writing should be submitted SOFT COPY (TurnitIn Similarity Index below 20%) and HARDCOPY (PRINTED) to the lecturer.

Group Presentation

The Presentation is a COMPULSORY part of the course and will contribute 15% of the final course score. Presentation is based on each group’s creativity,

and EACH TEAM MEMBER IS REQUIRED TO PRESENT. Each group will be given a maximum duration of 20 minutes to do a ‘RECORDED VIDEO PRESENTATION’ and submit it at Week 11 at the link provided by the respective lecturers in UUM OL.

Requirements of the presentation will be based on the following:

  • Verbal techniques
  • Delivery (oral/visual)
