This is largely due to the ineffective use of retention strategies or the heightened expectations employees have of their workplaces in modern times.

According to Immaneni et al. (2021), tourism businesses are struggling to implement effective professional employee retention strategies, which in turn leads to poor organizational performance and high employee turnover. This study focuses on identifying the challenges and issues faced by human resource management in the tourism industry in maintaining high levels of employee retention.

This research will identify these challenges and propose solutions.
