The COVID-19 pandemic has further boosted the market as remote work and online learning increased screen time, leading to higher demand for anti-fatigue and vision correction glasses (Fortune Business Insights, 2021).

Despite domination by major players, new startups like Dresden are disrupting the market by offering quality, affordable, and sustainable eyewear options (Brandon, 2020). Consumers increasingly prioritize sustainable products, presenting both a challenge and an opportunity for the optical sector (Bowman, 2021).

Dresden, a Sydney-based startup founded in 2013, aims to offer sustainable optical products at affordable prices.
