Students are asked to identify an aspect of patient care that they have observed, participated in and/or interests them.  Students are asked to:

• Formulate a research question based on their area of interest using an appropriate (PICO/PEOS/SPICE) framework.

• Develop a search strategy that includes the following:
o Information on the electronic databases used in the search.
o Provide the search terms used in the search.
o Provide information on any limits applied in the search.

• Identify circa 3-4 primary research articles which focus on the topic of interest.

• Critically review the chosen research articles paying close attention to the research design used and how the study findings answer your research questions.

• Following your critical reading of the chosen articles, you are required to write a critical literature review which:
o Answer your chosen research question.
o Whilst also referring to the quality and reliability of the research designs used by the researchers.

• Please link the findings of your review to clinical practice in the form of practice recommendations.
