Assignment Task

It`s often easier to choose a condition or a patient that you found particularly interesting. Ideally, focus on one of the following conditions, such as osteoporosis, as these are the key conditions we are focusing on this semester.

Research your topic

Research your patient, their condition, and treatments. You need to explore the following:

Give a brief overview of the patient, their condition, relate to pathophysiology, and the management of the patient. Education and preventative measures you have initiated with your patient to address aspects of their clinical condition. Expand and justify your education and preventative approach, by identifying and discussing key nursing and medical interventions, any assessments you did, and supportive therapies you gave. Use the literature to investigate and show your knowledge and experience. Reflect on the care using the RN standards.

Organize presentation time with your unit coordinator

You will have an opportunity to select your preferred time slot to present. Keep an eye on the announcements page in early April for the booking form.

Time slots will be between Monday 20th May to Sunday 2nd June, 2024. With sessions available 6 days a week. This assessment will see you prepare a presentation to present to two of your peers and the unit coordinator. You will need to download Zoom, as this is the platform we will use to present the presentations.
