• The roles that data, data analytics and IT (in the context of data) can play in the organisation and how they can provide insights for decisions and or inform processes in the given organisation. 
• Potential sources of data and data types that can be used by the organisation for its needs.
• The essential processes/steps, and possible outcomes of the data analysis process that can best meet the organisation`s needs.
• The challenges that the organisation might face in using data and data analytics.
• The ethical considerations that the organisation need to consider for collecting, handling, analysing and storing data.
