Project Plan

Students are tasked with utilizing the knowledge gained throughout this unit to develop a plan for decision-making and problem-solving in relation to one selected healthcare issue/nursing practice. The project may encompass any area of specialty nursing practice that the student identifies as needing improvement. It is imperative that students align their chosen healthcare issue/nursing practice with NSQHS (National Safety and Quality Health Service) standards. Current guidelines should be utilized in this assessment, incorporating the latest research-based evidence and practice protocols updated with the most recent guidelines.

Assessment Instructions

Students are required to:

1. Choose one specific issue or problem in the healthcare setting that reflects their learning needs.
2. Write learning objectives using SMART goals (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound).
3. Conduct a literature review of the chosen area, reviewing a minimum of six articles.
4. Justify why this problem is significant and why addressing it is crucial.
5. Design the project, outlining the method (including sample, ethical considerations, data collection, and analysis), strategies to implement the project, and a plan for evaluation.
6. Develop a time planner for the project, which may include the use of a Gantt Chart.
7. Conclude the proposal.
