The Writing Dock team made this guide to help you understand what you need to do for the MGT315 Assignment 2 project. This assignment is about looking at a real-world problem that affects the environment and society and finding ways to solve it. You will work in a group. Use research, critical thinking and visual presentation techniques to create an infographic report.

You will work in groups of four or five people. Your group needs to choose a topic that is related to sustainability either locally or globally. Make sure your topic is not the same as another groups topic.

Purpose of the Assignment

This project will help you improve your skills in:

  • Critical analysis and research

  • Making decisions
  • Thinking about sustainability
  • Creating communications with infographics

This assignment is worth 30% of your final course grade.

Report Requirements

Your infographic report should be 10–15 pages long including the title page. You should use graphs, visuals, statistics and short explanations to make your report informative and engaging.

Your report should include:

    Use least one decision-making approach, for example:

    Discuss how your issue affects one or more of the following areas:
    • Environment
    • Society
    • Economy
    • Governance

  6. Recommended Solutions
    Suggest sustainable solutions that can help reduce or solve the issue.

    You can choose topics like:
    • Plastic Waste on University Campuses
    • Food Wastage Among Students
    • Electricity and Energy Overconsumption
    • Digital Solutions for Mental Health Awareness
    • Unhealthy Student Lifestyle Habits
    • Transportation and Carbon Emissions

You can also choose sustainability-related topics but you need to get your lecturers approval.

Referencing Guidelines

You must acknowledge all sources used in your report including images, statistics and diagrams.
