This is the use of technology in insurance transactions and processes, it works by using technology such as data analysis and artificial intelligence. Insurtech allows product to be priced more competitively.

• It’s used more efficiently process claims, evaluate risks, process contract or underwrite policies.
• It aims at making current insurance model more efficient.
• Insurtech is exploring avenues that large insurance firms have less incentive to exploit eg ultra customized policies (collecting real term customer data and create policy), social insurance and using streams of data from internet devices to dynamically price premiums according observed behavior.
