Your task is to develop a plan that demonstrates your understanding of strategic and operational recruitment and selection issues within a business context. You are to develop a start-to-finish plan for the recruitment and selection process that you recommend be implemented for the next time this role is to be recruited by this organization.

Each of the above roles varies widely depending on the specific context, so you need to describe exactly what you want from THIS role in THIS organization. You may base your work on something you have experienced, read, or heard about, and you may call or interview others to help you better understand the role. You are not required to consider the remuneration, compensation, or potential industrial relations implications of this role, as many students will not have studied these.

Part D - Internet, AI use and policy

The primary source for this assignment is your prescribed textbook, lectures, and tutorial discussions. To save time on some elements, however, you are encouraged to use the internet, Google and/or artificial intelligence (AI) to help create this report. Some AI tools are good summaries and their conversational tone makes them easy to read, which will assist your learning. However, they are not always accurate, complete or appropriate for a particular context, perspective or level of analysis. This assignment challenges you to be better than the AI tools available to you. You are expected to build on and improve upon AI’s responses, to ensure your report is precisely tailored to the context you have described. Students who use AI (e.g., ChatGPT) to assist their learning in this assignment must recognize and acknowledge AI`s limits including:

  1. First, take the perspective that you cannot trust anything AI gives you. Assume any number or fact is wrong unless you either know the answer or can check it with another You are responsible for any errors or omissions. That means you need to confirm any advice you use from AI.
  2. Second, and outside the word count for this assignment, you must acknowledge your use of AI by including a paragraph at the end of this assignment explaining what you used the AI to search for, generate or produce, and what specific prompts you used to get the results:
    • Keep annotated records of PDFs of the actual academic papers/reports/other sources on which you’ve based your work.
    • Keep evidence of your working timeline for the assessment (e.g. a history through Google docs).
