Task Two – Professional Development
In this task, you`ll continue your professional review by evaluating the influence of your chosen CPD activities on your performance and behaviors.
To fulfill the task requirements, you need to document how you`ve actively maintained and enhanced your knowledge and skills over the past year, along with an assessment of the outcomes of these activities.
Demonstrate proactive approaches to developing, recording, and reflecting on your professional knowledge, skills, and experience.
Your record should be attached to your assignment, either as a formal/structured CPD Record or as pages from the CIPD ‘My CPD Reflections’ tool. (AC2.3)
Your record(s) should include:
(a) A description of three CPD activities undertaken in the last 12 months that you believe have influenced your work performance or behaviors.
These activities can be diverse, ranging from formal learning events or programs to informal activities like online research, watching videos, or reading books. Work-based activities such as participation in specific projects or taking on challenging roles also count.
(b) For each of these activities, reflect on how they`ve impacted your work performance or behaviors.
Consider aspects like whether you gained new insights or knowledge and how it influenced your behavior. Assess whether the activity was worthwhile based on its impact. Did it highlight additional development needs? Draw conclusions from these reflections for future activities.
