Your assignment involves analyzing language features to understand how they construct meaning in texts. You will receive one spoken text and one written text, with specific language choices highlighted in bold and numbered.

For each numbered and highlighted language choice in both texts, your analysis should cover:

1. Classification as a simple, complex, compound, or compound-complex sentence.
2. Identification of the independent and dependent clauses for complex sentences.
3. Identification of the independent clauses for compound sentences.
4. Identification of both independent and dependent clauses for compound-complex sentences.
5. Analysis of the overall form of the verb phrase in each clause, including tense, non-standard forms, modal forms, and passive forms.
6. Discussion of the form of the verb phrase to facilitate accurate sentence generation in different contexts.
7. Identification of the concept represented by the choice of the verb form.
8. For single nouns: identification of noun type, use/non-use of an article, and discussion of the noun`s significance.
9. For noun phrases: identification of noun and head, analysis of pre-modification and post-modification, and discussion of the significance of the phrase.
