What Strategic Recommendations Would You Make For The Company:

Conduct an organizational audit of a company of your choice. Within the audit, you will conduct an internal and external evaluation of the current operations and discuss the possible outcomes, positive or negative for existing companies, as well as consumers if the organization diversifies into a new market.

What strategic recommendations would you make for the company?

  1. Critical Thinking: A core tenet of any Masters’s program is to integrate the worlds of theory and practice. Excellent answers will move beyond ‘descriptive’ story-telling and provide a critical evaluation of their argument. Critical thinking embraces both ‘theoretical’ and ‘practical’ concepts and provides an explanation, which is both justified and evidence-based through the use of supporting literature. Participants are encouraged to use a supporting framework that acts as a lens in evaluating business strategy.
  2. Literature Critique: In writing your answers, students should actively critique the literature proposed in Course Outline. A critical review will identify key concepts from the literature and shape your argument. You are free to use additional readings beyond the course outline, however it is envisaged that these readings will strongly influence respective debates.
  3. Case Study examples: To support your argument you will need to provide a series of lessons from practice, most notably lessons from the respective case studies reviewed in this module (you are also free to use additional case examples beyond this module). In applying lessons learned to particular arguments, you are developing a critical perspective.
  4. Document Style: Assignments will include; title page, table of contents, Introductions, Conclusions, Bibliography/References, Appendices and other supporting documentation where relevant. Assignments will use a single font format, page numbers, and footnotes where relevant. Introductions will provide a brief overview to document content.
