MGMT 8064: Discuss and evaluate the challenges within the organization’s supply network relevant to the industry norms i.e. in the context of today’s global environment.

(a) Briefly describe & introduce the organization and illustrate via supply chain mapping/diagraming the current process of, engagement across companies, suppliers and customers to bring the product(s) / service(s) to the consumer (including returns where applicable).

(b)Analyse the internal and external organizational requirements and the types of supply chain management relationships that exist within the organization’s industry.

(c) Discuss and evaluate the challenges within the organization’s supply network relevant to the industry norms i.e. in the context of today’s global environment.

(d)Specifically appraise the changing nature of technological and data-driven supply chain communications and information requirements within the industry

(e) Critically assess the ‘effectiveness’ of the organisation’s current supplychain strategy via the application of a supply-chain performance measurement framework (e.g. Balanced Score Card / Scor).

SECTION (B) – Future Recommendations
Having set out, evaluated and critiqued all aspects of the report above (i.e. points a-f), students are now required to propose key recommendations for each of the points above to drive and enhance viable supply chain performance improvement.
*Students are required to incorporate knowledge of relevant global integrative supply-chain and supply network theories to rationalise and support answer. At minimum, in this section – students are required to:

(a) Propose recommended changes to the process of engagement across companies, suppliers and customers – to bring the product(s) / service(s) more efficiently to the consumer (including returns where applicable).
*Students may include supply chain mapping to assist.

(b) Propose internal and external organisational requirements and propose relationships / relationship management for more effective supply chain management in the organisation’s industry.

(c) Propose recommendations to counteract the challenges within the organisations’ industry’s supply chain management i.e. in the context of today’s global environment.

(d) Propose recommendations to address / facilitate the changing technological and data-driven supply chain communications and information requirements within the industry.

(E) Propose a recommended ‘supply-chain strategy’ via the application of a supply-chain performance measurement framework (e.g. Balanced Scorecard
/ Scor)
