This paper is your response to Barbara Tuchman’s chapter on the Black Death and the film The Seventh Seal. Compare the film The Seventh Seal to Barbara Tuchman’s chapter on the Bubonic Plague. How well does the film portray this historical event? Describe the advantages and disadvantages both media (a history book and a fictional film) in helping an audience understand both the past and the human experience?
This paper should be 2-3 pages, double-spaced. Use Times New Roman or an equivalent font, size 12.
Reference Notes: In your papers, you need to use a reference note (footnote, endnote, or in-text citation) whenever
you:
1. Use a direct quotation (you must also use quotation marks to denote a word-for-word quote)
2. Paraphrase the ideas or arguments of another writer
3. Cite any specialized data that is not known generally

When you do one of these things and do not provide a citation, you are plagiarizing. Plagiarism will not be tolerated. If I find wholesale copying or paraphrasing from another source without attribution, you will fail the course and I will report your conduct to the offices of the Dean, the Provost, and the Vice President for Student
Services.
