Assignment Task

The focus of this project is risk management and client safety. You will complete an analysis of your practice area to identify safety issue(s) beyond the obvious concerns such as fall risk assessment, sedation levels, and client identification.

Your analysis may consider an examination of human factors, organizational culture, dealing with change, teamwork factors, systems examination, and process evaluation factors.

To initiate this project option:

1. identify safety risk(s) in the point-of-care setting.
2. consider the system barriers or facilitators that exist to address the identified safety risk.
3. develop written recommendations for change that are evidence-informed and reflect best practices.
4. Present a written summary of your findings and recommendations to the appropriate people in the point-of-care setting. Your summary must include the following:

1. Risk assessment stage a. Identify the process you undertook to analyze the safety risks in this point-of-care setting.

b. Include a summary of the background research and other literature you consulted (cited correctly following APA 7th ed. format) in this stage. This must be evidence-informed and reflect best practices.
