On completion of this task, students will;

  • Students will acquire a working knowledge of the Nutritics program.
  • Students will develop their ability to evaluate the nutritional content of foods consumed under the concept of ‘balanced meals’ over a two-day period.
  • Be able to use the dietary analysis computer package – ‘Nutritics’, to analyse their current nutritional intake and make recommendations based on findings.
  • Be able to research and analyze information from a variety of sources and critically review practice in light of recent health strategies.
  • Be able to reference correctly using the New Harvard System of referencing.
  • Apply ICT skills of ‘Word’ package in the presentation of the assignment and ‘Nutritics’ package in the dietary analysis of macronutrients.
