ITN154 - Fully Functional Network for Lab Assignment

Assignment Task

The lab will be graded on correctness and completeness. The network must be fully functional and operational for the lab to be awarded a grade of A or B. Ensure the network is configured according to the information provided in the network diagram and the lab description. If information is missing, make necessary assumptions to complete the work.

Use Packet Tracer Cisco router 1941 and add T1 CSU/DSU serial cards to each router [serial0/0/0 and serial0/0/1]. Incorporate Cisco switch 2960.

Ensure routers are named R1, R2, R3, R4, and R5. The configuration should proceed from left to right as depicted in the diagram.

Configure R1 as the DHCP server to assign dynamic IP address configuration for VLAN10 and VLAN11. VLAN10 network is 123.123.10.0/24 with default gateway gig0/0.10 having IP address 123.123.10.1/24. VLAN11 network is 123.123.11.0/24 with default gateway gig0/0.11 having IP address 123.123.11.1/24.

Ensure R1 interface gig0/1 has IP address 123.123.12.1 connected directly to the DNS server with a crossover cable. DNS server IP address is 123.123.12.100.

Configure R1 serial0/0/1 with IP address 194.1.1.2/30 connected to R2 serial0/0/1 with IP address 192.1.1.1/30.

Rename Switch1 to SW1. Configure SW1 ports accordingly for VLAN10 and VLAN11, and set fa0/24 as a trunk port.

Configure R2 serial0/0/0 with IP address 194.1.1.5/30 connected to R3 serial0/0/0 with IP address 192.1.1.6/30.

Configure R3 serial0/0/1 with IP address 194.1.1.9/30 connected to R4 serial0/0/1 with IP address 192.1.1.10/30. Configure R3 with OSPF process ID 295, area 0, and route all connected interface networks.

R3 serves as the network core router. Enable VTY Telnet access with password cisco and ensure Telnet access from the network computer to R3.

Configure R4 serial0/0/0 with IP address 194.1.1.14/30 connected to R5 serial0/0/0 with IP address 192.1.1.13/30.

Configure R5 interfaces and VLANs according to the provided specifications. Ensure R5 serves as the DHCP server for VLAN20 and VLAN21.

All routers must be configured with OSPF routing protocol with process ID 295, area 0, and route all connected interface networks.

Implement a security ACL preventing computers from VLAN11 network 123.123.11.0/24 from pinging the FTP server IP network 124.124.12.100.

Ensure all network devices can reach the DNS and FTP servers.
