Health promotion in pregnancy, substance abuse, alcohol, smoking cessation.

This will be a presentation presented to peers who provide care to women antenatally.

There are 4 others in the group presentation and my topic is ‘HSE Health Promotion in Pregnancy’ on
the subject of substance abuse, alcohol, and smoking cessation. My topic will be after the introduction

which will be presented by another member of the group and before the topics, of substance abuse, alcohol, and smoking cessation

which will be presented by 3 others. So there is no need to go into detail regarding these subjects on my part. My topic will be giving an overview of the HSE’s take on health promotion in pregnancy.

• Please give information on the Mecc guidelines.
• Information on the programs available for women with substance abuse, alcohol, and smoking problems in pregnancy.
