The purpose of this assignment is:

• To increase your awareness of public health (sometimes known as community health)
• To increase your awareness of how public health works in the community
• To increase your awareness of what an individual who works in public health does

Preparation: website -read the material AND watch the 2 videos.

Lets get started by getting a better understanding of Public Health. Throughout the semester we will be focusing on HOW to plan Health Education activities and programs. It is important for us to understand the big picture before we get started.

1. Summarize the first video - include at least 5 terms that are specific to public health... and describe what they mean. Include at least 3 items that you learned from the video that you did not know before.
2. Summarize the second video - In addition, state at least 5 ways that answer the question `What is Public Health`. State what areas you were unaware of before watching the video.
